Auxiliary Presidents Message

Brothers and Sisters of the Auxiliary,
I would like to start this month’s letter with a recap of what took place in May. To all the mom’s I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. The breakfast on Mother’s Day went well, thank you who all volunteered. At our district meeting on May 18th, Mary Ellen Cash is our new district Chaplin and Patriotic Instructress. Way to go Mary Ellen! The rib cook-off was a success. Thank you to all who helped with the set/clean-up. The Memorial Day bbq went very well. Again, a much deserved thank you to all who brought in a dish and helped set up and cleaned up afterwards. At the Memorial Gardens ceremony Roni Lee Gannon and Kimberly Reed passed out poppy’s and raised $170 for the auxiliary. Great job!
We have a few things happening this month. June 6th is D-Day, there will be a remembrance and barbeque. Our Auxiliary dinners start on the 7th with the first one being a fish fry. The following Fridays will be the cook’s dinner of choice. We have our meeting on the 11th, with a few things to discuss. Father’s Day is Sunday the 16th, so come on down to the post for breakfast. Department convention is the 19th-23rd. I would like to welcome our newest officer Kim Reed. She voted on and agreed to be my one-year Trustee. Welcome aboard. I still need one position filled. The position is Conductress/Conductor. So, if you are interested let me know and I will explain the position to you.
In closing I think we had a good year as an auxiliary and I am proud to have been your President. Let’s make this year even better.

See you at the post!

Respectfully,

Anthony Roupp
Auxiliary President
