Not a lot to report this month. We had our Memorial Day observances, followed by a lunch/picnic at the Post, which was great.
The Cemetery Detail went to Lake Trafford and replaced all flags on the graves, fol-lowed by a hand salute and taps. Thank you Ed Messer.
We also had our 4th annual rib cook-off . Congratulations to Ginny Ortino, 1st place winner…followed by Ed Messer nailing 2nd place. A dinner followed the judging and everybody enjoyed all the great entries and fixings made by the contestants.
We are still processing the final bids to replace the existing floors in the meeting rooms a nd should be ready to make our final decisions by the end of the month. J.B. Holmes is look-ing to see if any grants are available to help fray the costs.
I have been in contact with a company to restore our pool table. and thanks to the Auxiliary with their generous donation of $150.00, that project will be completed in the near future.
I’d like to thank Commander Randy Cash and his officers for the outstanding job per-formed this past year and wish him continued success as the new District Commander.
In closing I ask that Gods Blessings be upon you, your families, and our brave troops.
